Abstract:

The proposed paper examines the concept of sustainable development in detail. It throws light on how the schools can play a significant role in developing the notion regarding the environmental issues and concerns.This paper further attempts to explore the role of education for the stabilization of sustainable development.To achieve the required level of sustainable development, this paper will contribute how schools have to take up new role and greater responsibilities, and away to help the students to advance the knowledge, ability, and values relevant to conservation and preservation of sustainable development. The entire Educational programmes and school management should lay emphasis on the new issues so as to face the new emerging challenges of environmental concerns and sustainable development. The present schools must be engaged to discharge functions in relation to the conservation issues and sustainable development. It further examines that sustainable development can extend holistic progress beyond the foreseeable future without exhausting available and valuable resources.
